Na4Fe3(PO4)2P2O7 (NFPP) is a highly promising, low-cost cathode material for Sodium-Ion Batteries (SIBs). NFPP is a mixed-anion compound combining both orthophosphate (PO4)3- and pyrophosphate (P2O7)4- units within its structure. It has features of (a) high structural stability; (b) low cost and high safety; (c) high theoretical capacity up to 129 mAh/g.
