TFPC (3,3,3-Trifluoropropylene Carbonate) is a fluorinated cyclic carbonate used in Lithium-Ion Battery (LIB) electrolytes, primarily as a co-solvent or functional additive to enhance stability, particularly in high-voltage and high-energy density cells. The key to its function is the powerful electron-withdrawing trifluoromethyl (CF3) group on the molecule. It has multiple outstanding features: (1) Graphite Anode Compatibility (SEI Formation); (2) High-Voltage Stability (Oxidative Resistance); (3) Interphase Stabilization and LiF Generation.
