The alumina ceramic-coated polyethylene (PE) separator is a high-performance composite membrane used primarily in electric vehicles (EVs) and high-power electronics, which mainly address two biggest safety risks in modern batteries: thermal shrinkage and internal short circuits. The alumina coating acts as a structural shield to realize extreme thermal stability, show high puncture resistance, improved wettability, and increased higher meltdown temperature.
