A Zinc-Air Battery Testing Kit is a specialized electrochemical setup designed for researching alternative energy systems. Unlike standard closed batteries, these kits must facilitate "breathing" by allowing ambient or controlled oxygen to reach the cathode while containing a liquid alkaline electrolyte (typically KOH).

Structure/Components
  • Three layers of acrylic plates
  • Top layer: Air cathode fixing plate
  • Middle layer: Electrolyte storage plate (electrolyte loading is 3-4 mL)
  • Bottom layer: Zinc anode fixing plate
Cell Sizes
  • Effective air cathode size: 1 cm2 (other sizes can be customized upon request)
  • Effective zinc anode size: 4 cm2 (other sizes can be customized upon request)
  • Due to side reaction is easier happened on the zinc anode, the effective anode size is larger than the cathode one to balance the reaction rate and product distribution.
  • Distance for anode and cathode: 1 cm
  • Cell size: 70×60 mm 
Static & Flow Electrolyte
  • For the static mode, the electrolyte is manually added from the top port.
  • For the flow type, the electrolyte from the tank is flush and refresh the electrode surface and increase the reaction activity. 
  • Flow Rate: 3-10 mL/min
         
Customized Option

If customers want a large volume of electrolyte for zinc-air testing, then the following one can be supplied.
Note The cell components should be thoroughly cleaned and dried after use.
