Designing a high-capacity 20 Ah All-Solid-State Pouch Cell (ASSLC) capable of 5C–20C ultra-fast charging, 1,200 cycles, and a wide operating temperature window of -10°C to $80°C requires advanced multi-layer stack scaling, core-shell solid electrolyte integration, and high-rate dry battery electrode (DBE) engineering.
(1) Ultra-Thin Electrolyte & Electrode Design: Reducing separator thickness to 25-30 um and maintaining thin electrode coatings (< 70 um) minimizes lithium-ion diffusion path lengths, keeping internal area specific resistance (ASR) below 0.8 Ω cm2 at room temperature. (2) Core-Shell Interfacial Stabilization: Utilizing Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4}F2@0.2LiF powder prevents high-voltage electrolyte decomposition and transition metal dissolution during aggressive 20C high-rate pulses. (3) Low-Temperature (-10°C) Kinetics Management: Incorporating high-conductivity thio-halide pathways ensures sufficient ionic conductivity (> 10^{-3} S/cm) down to -10°C, while integrated thermal management films enable rapid self-heating prior to cold fast-charging. (4) High-Temperature (80°C) Thermal Stability: High-molecular-weight PTFE dry binder and thermally stable core-shell sulfide frameworks prevent short circuits and structural delamination under extreme thermal stress up to 80°C.
