A polyimide (PI) separator is widely regarded as the ultimate solution for high-temperature battery safety and performance. Standard polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE) separators are limited by low melting points (135°C–165°C), polyimide remains structurally sound at temperatures exceeding 400°C. Polyimide has multiple features: (1) Extreme thermal stability; (2) Superior flame retardancy; (3) Excellent wettability.
