In solid-state battery (SSB) research, a split cell is a specialized electrochemical testing device designed to evaluate solid electrolytes and electrode materials without the need for traditional coin cell crimping. Unlike standard liquid-based battery cells, split cells are engineered to apply and maintain significant mechanical pressure, which is critical for ensuring proper ionic contact at solid-solid interfaces.

The hybrid jig fixture design enables the constant pressure applied on the testing cell even expansion and shrink during the charging/discharging process.

Part Number

CSSBTCP2ESCHJF (C-SSBT-CP2ESCHJF)

Structure/Components
Top/Bottom Metal Part: Special #4 Stainless Steel (corrosive-resistant to most solid-state electrolytes)
