An Automatic Four-Probe Powder Resistivity, Conductivity, and Compaction Density Tester replaces manual screw presses with software-controlled servo/hydraulic actuation, precision thickness sensors, and automated data logging. Where manual units rely on operator intuition and single-point measurements, fully automatic platforms measure resistivity, conductivity, and compaction density simultaneously across multi-step pressure profiles in a single test run.
The general automatic workflow: (1) Sample Loading & Mass Input: Weigh the dry powder sample ( 0.2 to 2.0 g) and enter the mass into the control software. Place the powder into the insulated mold die equipped with four-point probe contact pins. (2) Program Test Profile: Select the testing protocol: multi-step pressure holding (e.g., 10 to 200 MPa in 20 MPa increments), continuous constant-speed loading, or pressure-release springback cycles. (3) Automated Execution: The motorized actuator drives the ram downwards. At each pressure step, the system holds load, applies a precision DC current, reads micro-voltages, and logs real-time sample height. (4) Data Curve Generation: The software plots real-time curves: Resistivity vs. Pressure, Conductivity vs. Compaction Density, and Pressure vs. Thickness (Springback).
