Mini 1200 °C muffle furnaces are compact benchtop high-temperature box furnaces designed for small-scale material calcination, ash testing, sintering, and heat treatment.

When selecting a mini 1200 °C furnace, keep the following specifications in mind: (1) Chamber Capacity & Footprint: Mini models generally range from 1 Liter to 4.5 Liters, allowing them to fit easily on a lab bench or inside standard fume hoods/gloveboxes. (2) Heating Elements: Most 1200 °C max models utilize Fe-Cr-Al (Kanthal) alloy resistance wire or ceramic embedded heating plates. Continuous operating temperatures are typically rated up to 1100 °C. (3) Chamber Insulation: High-purity vacuum-formed ceramic fiber insulation ensures quick heating ramps (often reaching 1000 °C+ in under 30 minutes) while keeping energy consumption low. (4) Temperature Controller: PID microcomputer controllers (often with programmable multi-segment ramp-and-hold profiles) ensure stability within ±1 °C.
