Sulfonated PANI {Polyaniline} provides the physical "glue" to hold the electrode together while simultaneously acting as a conductive highway for electrons. Doped PANI contains a conjugated backbone (alternating single and double bonds) that allows electrons to flow freely across the polymer chain. It helps suppress the excessive growth of the Solid Electrolyte Interphase (SEI) layer. By wrapping the silicon, it limits the direct contact between the silicon and the electrolyte, preventing side reactions that eat up the battery's life.
