Ethyl 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl ether (ETFE) (CAS 512-51-6; widely designated in battery literature as HFE-374) is a specialized short-chain hydrofluoroether utilized as an advanced electrolyte co-solvent, diluent, and functional additive in lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and lithium-sulfur batteries.
