PC (Propylene Carbonate) is a cyclic carbonate solvent with a high dielectric constant, similar to Ethylene Carbonate (EC). However, despite its promising properties, PC is generally incompatible with the standard graphite anode in commercial Lithium-Ion Batteries (LIBs), leading to the well-known "EC-PC mystery" in battery science.
