Add-Ons
Li5.4PS4.4}Cl1.4F2@0.2LiF is an advanced core-shell structured solid electrolyte powder designed to eliminate interfacial degradation and parasitic side reactions in high-energy All-Solid-State Lithium Batteries (ASSLBs). (1) Core Properties (Li5.4PS4.4}Cl1.4F2@0.2LiF): A heavily halogen- and fluorine-substituted argyrodite/thio-halide framework that exhibits exceptional room-temperature ionic conductivity (~ 10^{-3} S/cm range) and enhanced thermodynamic stability compared to stoichiometric binary sulfides. (2) Shell Function (0.2LiF): A passivating, electronically insulating yet ionically conductive lithium fluoride (LiF) nano-layer coated uniformly onto the core particles. This shell suppresses direct contact between the reactive sulfide core and high-voltage cathode surfaces, drastically expanding the electrochemical oxidation window above 4.3-4.5 V vs. Li/Li+. (3) Interfacial Stabilization: Mitigates transition metal dissolution from high-nickel cathodes and prevents continuous decomposition of the solid electrolyte at aggressive positive potentials, ensuring prolonged capacity retention over extended cycling.
