CMCLi (Lithium carboxymethyl cellulose) is a high-performance, water-soluble binder that has been specifically engineered to further enhance the benefits of CMC in lithium-ion battery (LIB}) electrodes, particularly by improving ion transport and electrochemical stability. CMCLi functions as a Li-ion conductive polymer that can increase the content of freely moving Li+ ions within the electrode. Moreover, The Li+ ions in the binder facilitate transport along the binder chains, shortening the Li+ diffusion pathway to the active material surface.
