LGPS (Li10GeP2S12) is a superionic conductor, exhibiting one of the highest reported lithium-ion conductivities for a solid electrolyte—often exceeding 10 mS/cm at room temperature. This conductivity is comparable to, or even better than, that of the liquid electrolytes currently used in commercial lithium-ion batteries, which contributes to its tetragonal crystal structure with three-dimensional interconnecting channels that facilitate the rapid diffusion of Li+ ions.
