Mg(OTf)2 (Magnesium Triflate) is an electrolyte salt that is primarily utilized in the development of Magnesium-Ion Batteries (MIBs) and specific aqueous-based battery systems. The primary function of Mg(OTf)2 is to serve as a conductive medium that allows the reversible transport of Mg2+ ions between the anode and the cathode during charging and discharging, as well as its features of high ionic conductivity, wide electrochemical window, and high quality of SEI Formation.
