The Fumapem FS-930-RFS is a perfluorinated Cation Exchange Membrane (CEM) specifically engineered for high-performance Hydrogen Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (H2-PEMFC). While the standard FS-930 is common in flow batteries, the "RFS" designation indicates that this version is Reinforced and Stabilized, making it the industrial choice for fuel cells in demanding environments like heavy-duty transport or marine power.
The FS-930-RFS membrane with reinforce includes an internal mesh that provides high mechanical stability and prevents the membrane from tearing or creeping under the pressure of a fuel cell stack. It has significantly lower swelling (< 6%) compared to non-reinforced membranes, which is critical for preventing leaks and maintaining gas separation during humidity cycles.
