The NaFTFSI (Sodium (Fluorosulfonyl)(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide) salt, is a next-generation electrolyte salt that is rapidly gaining prominence in high-performance sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). It is often considered the most promising candidate to supplement or eventually replace the conventional NaPF6.
NaFTFSI provides several significant improvements over the standard NaPF6, such as (1) Superior Ionic Conductivity; (2) High Thermal Stability; (3) Enhanced Hydrolysis Resistance; (4) Compatibility with Li Metal.
