A Battery Vibration Testing System (also known as an Electro-dynamic Shaker System) is a critical reliability platform used to simulate the mechanical stresses a battery will encounter over its lifetime. This includes the constant "road hum" of a moving vehicle, sudden shocks from potholes, and the intense vibrations of air or sea transport. For battery R&D, vibration testing is essential to ensure that internal components—such as tabs, welds, and the fragile separator/electrolyte interface—remain intact under resonance.
A professional vibration system consists of three main components: the Shaker, the Power Amplifier, and the Vibration Controller. (1) Shaker (Vibration Table): An electro-dynamic or hydraulic actuator that converts electrical signals into physical motion. It can be oriented for Vertical (Z-axis) or Horizontal (X/Y-axis) testing using a slip table. (2) Power Amplifier: Drives the shaker with high-current signals. Modern 2026 systems are highly efficient and feature integrated cooling. (3) Vibration Controller (The "Brain"): A high-speed processor that monitors the feedback from accelerometers attached to the battery. It adjusts the drive signal in real-time to ensure the vibration profile matches the required standard (Closed-loop control).
