A benchtop automatic batch reactor with mechanical shaft stirring is the cornerstone equipment for process chemistry optimization, scale-up modeling, and precise kinetic control (e.g., polymerizations, slurry syntheses, crystallization, and controlled dosing reactions). Unlike simple magnetic stirrers, overhead mechanical shaft drives provide high torque to handle viscous reaction media, phase-transfer slurries, and precise, non-slip speed regulation across 50 to 2000 RPM.

The benchtop automated reactors integrate real-time sensor feedback with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or PC software: (1) Closed-Loop Temperature Control: Cascaded PID loops monitor both internal bed/reaction temperature and jacket fluid temperature, dynamically adjusting heating/cooling circulators to handle fast exothermic or endothermic spikes. (2) Automated Dosing & Feed Controls: Synchronized syringe or peristaltic pumps deliver reagents based on elapsed time, pH thresholds, or maximum heat-flow dissipation limits (preventing thermal runaway). (3) Torque & Viscosity Monitoring: Real-time feedback from the mechanical stirrer motor tracks shaft torque (N.cm), allowing continuous calculation of slurry viscosity changes or polymerization progress in situ. (4) Data Logging: Continuous recording of Treactor}, Tjacket, stirrer RPM, torque, system pressure, pH, and dosing rate for process analytical technology (PAT) compliance.

Key Features for Batch Reactor
  • Electric-driven lifting module and equipped with pressure/temperature thermocouple (MEAS/OMEGA) and nickel-based alloy rapture disk
  • For standard 1L version, reactor cover is fixed and reactor vessel goes up/down, while for 20-29 L, the reactor vessel is fixed and the reactor cover goes up/down. 
  • Automatic temperature loop: embedded with compressor for automatic cooling and heating cycling
  • HMI touch screen for parameter setting and display, 30 programmable segments and RS485 communication port for computer connection. 
  • Batch Reactor Material: SS316L and Hastelloy C-276 (other material options, such as Ti alloy TA2, Zirconium 702, and Monel alloy 400 can be supplied upon request)
  • Reactor Volume: 1 L (standard benchtop version). Other large volume ground floor version, such as 2, 5, 10, 20, 29 L can be supplied upon request.

                          

  • Operation Temperature: -40°C ~ 300°C (2 kW), adjustable, over-temperature alarm, K-type thermocouple, heating rate of 3-5℃/min
  • High Pressure (standard version): Max. 10 MPa (WIKA vacuum gauge), overpressure alarm. A higher pressure of 20 MPa can be customized for 1L and 2L version.
  • Mechanical Shaft Stirring Speed: Max. 1200 rpm (1L). For other options, 1000 rpm (2L), 800 rpm (5L), 600 rpm (10 L), 300 rpm (20/29 L)
  • Mechanical Shaft Stirring: propelled padel type (low viscosity fluid), high accuracy servo motor.
  • High-quality Swagelok valves for gas inlet/outlet. The safety valve (Fitok) is equipped for pressure relief.
