A Microwave Vacuum Muffle Furnace is a high-performance thermal processing system that integrates volumetric microwave heating with a sealed vacuum chamber. By combining the "inside-out" heating speed of microwaves with the oxygen-free environment of a high vacuum, it enables rapid densification and phase-pure synthesis that conventional muffle furnaces cannot match.
This hybrid configuration solves the two greatest challenges in battery powder synthesis: Slow Thermal Diffusion and Oxidation. (1) Volumetric Heating (Microwave): Standard vacuum furnaces rely on radiation, which is slow in a vacuum because there is no air to conduct heat. Microwaves bypass this by coupling directly with the material's dipoles, generating heat internally and allowing for ramp rates exceeding 50°C/min. (2) Contamination-Free Environment (Vacuum): Removing air prevents the oxidation of transition metals (like Fe2+ in NFPP).
