An Automatic Coin Cell Assembling Machine is an automated system—commonly installed inside an inert atmosphere glovebox (argon or nitrogen)—designed to assemble coin-type test cells (e.g., CR2032, CR2016, CR2025) with high repeatability, precise alignment, and consistent electrolyte dosing. By automating stacking, electrolyte dispensing, and crimping, it eliminates operator-to-operator variance and minimizes manual handling of reactive materials like lithium/sodium metal foil and sensitive liquid electrolytes.

The Key advantages over manual assembly are: (1) Elimination of Human Variability: Manual tweezers and pipettes frequently cause subtle edge shorting, variable wetting, and uneven crimp heights. (2) Controlled Crimp Integrity: Programmed crimp displacement and pressure profiles ensure leak-tight hermetic seals without burring the polypropylene gasket. (3) Data Traceability: Modern units log dispensing volume, crimp force displacement curves, and stack height for every individual cell ID.

Part Number
  • ERSACCAM (ERS-ACCAM)
Power
  • AC220V±10%, single phase, 50/60 Hz, ~2000W.
General Operation Workflow
  • Manually place multiple sample trays at the storage area (each tray for one coin cell).
  • Set the operation parameters, such as assembling coin cell numbers, electrolyte injection volume, and operation speed.
  • Start the assembling process, and the cell components were picked up by the vacuum sucker in sequence and electrolyte were injected into the cell case.
  • The coin cell components were sent to die position to complete the crimping process
  • The crimpled cell was return to the sample tray that will be back to original position.
Coin Cell Assembling Features
  • CR20XX and CR24XX (customer specify the cell types)
  • Negative Assembling Sequence: anode case, spacer, anode disc, separator, cathode disc, spacer, spring, and cathode case
