Silver (Ag) mesh is a premium current collector used primarily in flow battery, electrolyzer, and fuel cell due to its ultra-low electrical resistance and high-temperature stability.
(1) In flow battery system, silver mesh acts as a "flow-through" current collector. Its mesh structure allows electrolytes or gases to pass through while providing a continuous metallic path for electrons.
(2) In SOFC application field, silver mesh is a standard material for SOFC cathode current collection at intermediate temperatures (400-800 °C) because it remains conductive and stable in oxygen-rich environments where other metals would oxidize.
(3) In electrolyzer field, silver mesh can be used as a Porous Transport Layer (PTL), helping to distribute current evenly across the catalyst layer while allowing gas bubbles (oxygen/hydrogen) to escape through the holes.
