Pairing the high-voltage LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) spinel cathode with a standard Graphite anode in a dry pouch cell architecture represents a high-voltage, high-energy-density configuration for advanced lithium-ion batteries. LNMO operates at an elevated potential plateau of ~ 4.7 V vs. Li/Li+, enabling high cell-level energy density without requiring cobalt, while graphite provides a stable, low-potential negative electrode.
