Add-Ons
HCPK (1-Hydroxycyclohexyl Phenyl Ketone)—widely known commercially as Irgacure 184 (C13H16O2)—is a high-efficiency Type I non-yellowing photoinitiator utilized extensively in advanced energy storage research for the UV-curing of Gel Polymer Electrolytes (GPEs) and solid-state polymer electrolytes. By absorbing ultraviolet radiation, HCPK undergoes rapid cleavage to generate active free radicals, initiating the prompt polymerization of acrylate and methacrylate network precursors directly within separator membranes and electrode assemblies.
