a Mini Planetary Ball Mill is a foundational too that used to reduce the particle size of active materials (like LFP or NMC) and to ensure a truly homogeneous dispersion of conductive additives (CNTs/Carbon Black) before the coating process. In a planetary mill, the grinding jars are arranged "planetarily" on a rotating sun wheel. The jars rotate in the opposite direction to the sun wheel, creating high-energy centrifugal forces that result in intensive mixing and grinding.

Traditional ball mills rely on gravity, which is too slow for nano-scale battery materials. Planetary mills provide: (1) High Energy Density: The acceleration can exceed 20g to 50g allowing you to achieve sub-micron particle sizes in minutes rather than hours. (2) Mechanical Alloying: It is excellent for "coating" active material particles with conductive carbon. (3) Uniformity: The multidimensional motion prevents material from "settling" at the bottom of the jar.
