When working with corrosive processes (such as ashing acid-treated samples, processing halogenated compounds, or handling volatile battery precursors), standard muffle furnaces suffer from rapid degradation of open wire elements and exposed thermocouples. An anti-corrosion mini muffle furnace isolates these critical components using ceramic embedding or SiC/quartz muffles alongside ceramic-sheathed or platinum thermocouples.

The Key corrosion-resistant design features are: (1) Embedded / Sealed Heating Elements: Heating elements are embedded directly within vacuum-formed ceramic fiber plates or placed behind a dense, solid ceramic/muffle liner, protecting the alloy wires from direct contact with corrosive off-gases. (2) Protected Thermocouple Assembly: Thermocouples (Type K or S) are enclosed in dense Alumina (Al2O3) sheathing to prevent chemical attack and signal drift. (3) Stainless Steel Shell & Active Exhaust: Dual-shell designs featuring 304 or mirror-polished stainless steel housing prevent exterior rusting, paired with an integrated top chimney or exhaust port to vent acid fumes away from internal electronics.
