The electrolytic copper foils have been demonstrated as excellent battery anode current collector due to its good electrochemical stability and high conductivity. It acts as a mechanical substrate for the anode material (typically graphite or silicon) and a conductive path for electrons to exit the battery during discharge. Single-side shiny Cu foils are suitable for single-side coating with Matte side, which could be used for coin cell and single-layer pouch cell applications.
