ECS-HC D-Series Round Dry Pellet Pressing Die (Φ26-40 mm), EHCDRDPPD

When performing dry powder compaction in a laboratory or pilot-scale environment, selecting the correct dry pellet pressing die set is just as important as choosing the press itself. A standard dry pressing die uses a linear plunger to compact powder within a cylindrical or shaped sleeve. Because the powder particles rub against the metal walls under immense force, the die experiences high friction, abrasive wear, and tensile hoop stress.

It is normally composed of following components: (1) Die Sleeve (Outer Ring): The thick-walled cylinder that holds the powder and absorbs the massive outward radial (hoop) stress. (2) Plunger / Pushing Rod: The solid rod that slides inside the sleeve to compress the powder. (3) Anvils / Spacers: Highly polished metal discs placed on the top and bottom of the powder. They are easily replaced if scratched, protecting the main plunger and base. (4) Base Plate & Release Ring: Used to align the assembly during pressing and to elevate the sleeve during pellet ejection.
