Add-Ons
Maintaining a constant pressure environment (whether under a slight positive pressure or a regulated rough vacuum) inside a horizontal tube furnace requires integrating specialized gas-delivery and pressure-regulation accessories with your furnace setup. To achieve stable, constant-pressure operations, laboratory tube furnace systems rely on the following components: (1) Stainless Steel Vacuum Sealing Flanges (Double-O-Ring Design): Attached to both ends of the quartz or alumina tube, these flanges feature precision needle valves, mechanical pressure gauges, and quick-connect hose barbs to maintain gas tightness. (2) Upstream Gas Regulation (Mass Flow Controllers / Pressure Regulators): Incoming process gases (Ar, N2, forming gas) are regulated using high-precision digital mass flow controllers (MFCs) or dual-stage cylinder regulators to ensure a steady inlet feed rate. (3) Downstream Pressure Control (Back-Pressure Regulators / Throttle Valves): To maintain a constant positive pressure inside the tube (e.g., maintaining 0.02 MPa / 3 psi), a downstream mechanical back-pressure regulator or automatic throttle valve is positioned on the exhaust line to restrict gas escape until the target internal pressure is reached. (4) Vacuum / Exhaust Integration: For constant-pressure or dynamic-vacuum work, needle valves allow fine-tuning of the exhaust rate to balance continuous gas inflow against vacuum pump extraction.
